As America Approaches Its 250th Anniversary, Sherrill Manufacturing/ Liberty Tabletop Proudly Represents Made in the USA Small Businesses at the White House.
Liberty Tabletop and Sherrill Manufacturing were deeply honored to be invited to the White House during National Small Business Week to represent American manufacturing and Made in USA craftsmanship. Our CEO and Co-Owner, Matt Roberts, along with Co-Owner and HR Director Alice Roberts, attended this distinguished event celebrating the small businesses that continue to strengthen communities, preserve skilled trades, and help drive the American economy forward.
Out of millions of small businesses across the United States, Liberty Tabletop was selected as one of only six Made in America companies invited nationwide to showcase products at the White House. For our small Upstate New York manufacturing company, this recognition was both humbling and deeply meaningful.
At the event, Matt proudly displayed Liberty Tabletop flatware inside the White House while sharing the story behind America’s only flatware manufacturer. Surrounded by products crafted by our incredible workforce in Sherrill, New York, the display represented far more than stainless steel flatware. It represented generations of American craftsmanship, skilled manufacturing careers, and the determination of a small business committed to keeping production in the United States.
For more than 21 years, Sherrill Manufacturing and Liberty Tabletop have worked to preserve an industry that once defined American manufacturing. While our company itself is modern, we proudly operate inside a factory that has produced flatware for more than a century. Every fork, spoon, and knife we create reflects the skill, dedication, and pride of the people who make them.
At the heart of Liberty Tabletop is our workforce, a team we proudly consider family. Many of our employees have spent decades mastering their craft, from toolmaking and polishing to finishing and packaging. Being invited to the White House was not simply recognition for company leadership, it was recognition for every hardworking person in our factory who continues to prove that American manufacturing can still thrive.
National Small Business Week recognizes the essential role small businesses play in the American economy, supporting millions of jobs and local communities across the country. This year’s White House event highlighted businesses committed to preserving American industry, innovation, and manufacturing excellence.
As America approaches its 250th anniversary, this invitation carried even greater significance. Liberty Tabletop has long believed that preserving American manufacturing is about more than producing products. It is about protecting communities, creating meaningful careers, maintaining ethical production standards, and ensuring future generations still have the opportunity to build things in this country.
We are profoundly grateful for the opportunity to represent New York, American Small Businesses and American anufacturing, and the values of hard work, craftsmanship, and perseverance at the White House. Most importantly, we are grateful to our customers, employees, families, and supporters who have helped make this journey possible.
From all of us at Liberty Tabletop, thank you for supporting Made in USA small businesses and helping keep American manufacturing alive for generations to come.
