First, this is a phenomenal everyday set. I bought this to replace ‘overpriced/overhyped’ Pottery barn flatware that RUSTED and dulled in less than 6 months. This flatware is so durable and tough! Very very well made and a great everyday set. More specifically, this review is for the EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! So I bought the 45 piece set to start us off. Wife said we needed to buy more…so off I went to buy another 20. Lo and behold I bought the WRONG type (bought “American Industrial instead of Industrial Rim’). Return was SIMPLE easy and no muss no fuss with even a wonderful email from customer service ( THANK YOU AMY HART, YOU DESERVE A RAISE!) saying they received and would credit the balance as well as ship out the correct type. WHO SAYS ‘MADE IN USA’ Customer Service is dead? A wonderful company, a wonderful product and exceptional staff!

My 65 PC set of Industrial Rim flatware and serving pieces just arrived and I couldn’t be more pleased! They are exactly what I hoped they would be. My high expectations are completely met. I love the finish and shape of this flatware. My home is “Pottery Barn,” farmhouse-rustic and this flatware suits my style perfectly. Thank you Amy for fixing my mistake in ordering. I have this hodgepodge of imported flatware. With the exception of this one really nice Japanese fork, they are all very thin and flimsy. Most are trivially easy to bend and can bend severely in something tough like really cold ice cream. I imagine they could snap in half from repeatedly being bent and bent back if you’re not careful.
Liberty Tabletop flatware, on the other hand, are all thick and sturdy. Not overly thick and I have no fear of bending them unless I actively tried to. The only thing I would like to see is a nickel-free variant. Some people, such as my grandpa, are allergic to nickel and that makes recommending Liberty Tabletop tough. For anyone not allergic to nickel, the material otherwise has no downsides. It makes steel stronger and more rust resistant.

Quality products that won’t expose my family to unnecessary toxins matters to me. Made in the USA by my neighbors matters to me. This set was my first Liberty purchase it won’t be my last! I love it! it fits my style perfectly. Feels comfortable in the hand and comes out of the dishwasher looking good as new every time!

I had been eyeing this Industrial Rim Flatware and a few others for a while. I finally gave in and bought the Industrial Rim after looking at other sets at Pottery Barn, Crate and Barrel and William Sonoma. I am very pleased with the flatware from Liberty Tabletop. It’s made very well and I really think the Industrial Rim looks better than any of the similar sets sold at the other stores. I was worried that my husband or kids would take forks or spoons to work and lose them but they know they better not take any of my flatware out of the house. My only regret I wished I bought them when they first came out. I love them!

Two years later, I love it even more! The wedding gift stainless from 1977 was down to 4 or 5 random pieces. (Where does that stuff go?!) I ordered a total of 3 sets so my adult children are no longer using “school cafeteria” flatware. The set of Industrial Rim that I kept replaced everyday sterling silver that required–but didn’t actually get–constant polishing.
The finish on the Industrial rim is hard to describe. The sets I got for my kids were a different design, very shiny. I didn’t care for that because I was used to flatware with patina. The Industrial Rim is perfect in that regard. I’d say it is “mellow”. It is not sturdy enough to scoop ice cream but it is magnitudes better than any of the stainless that I saw in stores.
I did not care for the large spoons that were part of the set, so I bought a set of the round soup spoons, too.
I’m going to sell the sterling silver for scrap, happy to NEVER have to polish silver again!
