Industrial Rim is an excellent set of flatware with a good weight that is neither too heavy not too light. It has great feel and balance in the hand. The Industrial finish is beautiful. This was a replacement for polished flatware, so the Industrial finish seemed quite different at first. But after a day, we decided we loved it.

We also make it a point to buy products made in the USA whenever possible, so we are happy to support this company and its quality products.

Lovely set…will be giving it as a birthday gift for my granddaughter soon.

First off, I have to say that this is the best *currently made* stainless flatware I’ve found. (I wish it was as heavy and sturdy as the American-made Oneida stainless I received as a wedding gift in 1977. Unfortunately, most of those pieces have vanished in the passage of time; the company doesn’t manufacture in the US anymore, and the quality of their product has declined drastically.)

Before purchasing the Liberty flatware, I’d been using a set of sterling that was constantly in need of polishing. (I hate polishing silver.)

In searching for new stainless, it became painfully obvious that most of the newly produced stainless is garbage–more like the tinny stuff we used to see in school cafeterias. I kept looking and eventually discovered Liberty. I love the fact that it is made in the US, only about an hour from where I live in Central NY. So I know that the employees are paid, not enslaved, and that they are contributing to the US and local economy.

First, I purchased the Satin Annapolis. That’s when I realized that I wouldn’t be able to find anything as heavy-duty as my ancient flatware. However, it is very nice. So nice that my daughter immediately lusted after it! So I gave it to her and continued to look, focusing on something less shiny. (The business end of the Annapolis Satin is shiny, which my daughter loved.) That’s when I found the Industrial Rim pattern, which was on sale at the time.

I had a long conversation with a lovely woman who works at Liberty. She was incredibly friendly and even invited me to visit the factory so I could see everything in person. She wanted me to be aware that the Industrial Rim finish is not “satin” but more like pewter. It has a very mellow patina that I really like. I ordered the service for 8, plus 8 of the round soup spoons. (I’ve never been a fan of the oversized teaspoons that are the typical “soup” spoons in stainless flatware.)

The Annapolis and the Industrial Rim are not the heaviest flatware made by Liberty, but I compromised the weight in order to buy a set that wasn’t shiny and which was more economical than the heaviest Liberty flatware. I expect the flatware to last decades…as long as people remember to use the ice cream scoop instead of the Liberty flatware when scooping ice cream!

I’m very, very happy with my choice. My son was visiting and mentioned that his flatware is junk, so I showed him both the Annapolis Satin and the Industrial Rim. He preferred the Annapolis Satin, so I treated him to a set of that, too!

Customer service is excellent. Delivery was unbelievably fast. I’m very happy to have discovered Liberty Tabletop.
