Southern Living: There Is Just One Silverware Manufacturer Left in the USA
Sherrill Manufacturing, the manufacturer of the Liberty Tabletop line of flatware, is the lone flatware maker in the U.S.
The company rose from the ashes when Oneida, the world’s largest flatware producer, with manufacturing plants in four countries and annual sales of more than $500 million, moved its operations to China. In 2005, it shuttered the plant it had operated in Sherrill, New York for 125 years, the New York Times reported.
