I ordered the Old Harbor flatware set to give as a 25th Anniversary present for my niece and her husband. I have not given it to her yet, but I love the design. After purchasing 2 other flatware sets from major well-known companies that I returned because RUST developed after washing ONE time, I learned that these companies are manufacturing their products overseas where the Stainless is obviously inferior. I purchased the Old Harbor Set because my husband was a Coast Guard licensed charter fishing Captain for decades! The Old Harbor set by Liberty is AWESOME! The flatware did arrive with a film of the polishing product. I wasn’t sure if it would come off in the dishwasher, so I simply used a toothbrush and Dawn to remove the compound and then have washed in the dishwasher after that. (I have no time for hand-washing expect my $100 a piece Wusthof knives!) I highly recommend Liberty to anyone who is thinking of purchasing new Flatware. Trust me — don’t waste your time on the others. In fact, I had to fight with Oneida cause they said they wouldn’t return my money initially because my flatware was used. It was never used — only ran thru the dishwasher ONCE and most pieces had RUST!! My 32 year old set from Oneida has never rusted. I just wanted a new nautical set! The Stainless from Vietnam is Horrid!! Go with Liberty and you won’t regret it!!

My wife chose Old Harbor set because I’m a Navy Veteran and she loves the anchor, this flatware set is beautiful would recommend to anyone. Love that it’s made in America. Only thing I was disappointed with is we are both left handed and the butter knife is designed for the right hand. Also loved that you could get samples because we thought we may choose something else but the wife really loved this!!! After using the sample forks for a bit I agreed Old Harbor was the one.

I bought the Old Harbor as a gift for my retired Navy brother. I have company coming and thought having an extra set of silverware on hand would be helpful (I have the 65 piece set of Woodstock…love them!) As my brother leaves I will have him take the Old Harbor with him. The lady that I place the order with was kind and had the silverware ship that day to be sure they would arrive on time.
I have an active duty Navy son and a retired AirForce Daughter. I bought each of them a 65 piece of the Liberty table wear awhile back…I love this. I love this company…the fact they are in the USA makes it even better!
