Utica OD: Griffo, LaValle Encourage SUNY Schools to Use Local Products
State Sen. Joseph Griffo announced Monday that he has asked leaders of SUNY colleges to contract with New York-based manufacturers to have their products placed on campus. Griffo, R-Rome, wrote a letter with state Sen. Kenneth LaValle, R-Port Jefferson, the chair of the Senate Committee on Higher Education. The letter was sent to SUNY college presidents and chief business officers as well as SUNY Chancellor Kristina Johnson, according to Monday’s statement.
