This past December I was honored to represent Liberty Tabletop on set in Hollywood, Florida for the Hixon Family Makeover Project. A few months earlier we were approached by the producers of the program and asked if we would like to be sponsors of the series. After listening to the story of the Hixon Family and understanding the real world impact we could have in becoming part of this project we went all in.

Greg Owens with Military Makeover Interior Designer Jennifer Bertrand.

Liberty Tabletop teamed up with our good friends at Cutco Corporation to set up the Hixon’s with a kitchen full of Made in America flatware, cutlery, cookware, dinnerware and baking essentials. The product that we sent was picked out by Military Makeover Interior Designer Jennifer Bertrand based on her take on what would fit with the Hixon family taste and new home.

As part of the process I was able to take place in the makeover helping to hang the TV, assemble furniture and other odds and ends on the day before the great reveal. Jennifer and I sat down at the table and polished up the flatware so that it would be ready for the Hixon’s the following day.

There will be 10 episodes which will start airing on February 14th, the anniversary of the Parkland shooting. We are so proud to have been extended the opportunity to participate in this program, doing our small part to help the Hixon’s rebuild their lives after Chris was taken from them on that sad day in February.
