Created with pride in Sherrill, NY Liberty Tabletop is the only U.S. manufacturer of flatware and the exclusive flatware of the White House. Sherrill Manufacturing owners Greg Owens and Matt Roberts met President Trump back in 2017 during the “Made In America Product Showcase” which highlights businesses from all 50 states and their efforts and commitment to American-made goods. Now Liberty Tabletop supplies the government, military and embassies around the world with their products.
Owens and Roberts bought the manufacturing company when Oneida decided to move overseas. Starting with only 6 employees, the facility has now grown to 55, training the next generation of silversmiths. “One of the things that we do differently than any other company in the industry is we have our own ornamental die cutters on staff so we can make really unique designs that the competition can’t,” said co-founder Matt Roberts. “It’s something to put on your table that differentiates your table and you can’t get it from anywhere else.”
Liberty Tabletop produces over 30 unique designs from the traditional to ornate. Their newest collection called Liberty features iconic symbols like the Liberty Bell, the Fallen Soldier, and the Constitution. “We try to match our products to the different tastes of our customers,” said Roberts.
